This is the approved fanlisting for the genre of movies, Japanese Horror (J-Horror), which also contains various media such as movie reviews and screencaps. It is approved by What is Japanese horror? And why is it a genre of it's own?
Japanese horror traditionally has a much slower and gradual build up, and the effects are usually more psychological, thoughthat's not to say that Japanese horror doesn't feature a wide variety of ghosts and spirits! In 'American' horror, we begin the action within minutes of the start of the film. But, watching something like Ju-On or Audition, it's much more of a anticipation that keeps us on the edges of our seat. And, when the action happens, we're not left disappointed. stats Approved by: ![]()
